Banderas Bay, with uncharted depths of over two miles and a circumference of 60 miles (diameter is 25 miles), provides some of the best deep-sea fishing in the world. Within and outside of the bay in the deep waters of the Pacific Ocean, sport fishing enthusiasts can do battle with marlin, amberjack, sailfish, wahoo, mahi mahi and tuna—just a sampling of the dozens of varieties of fish roaming these waters.
